Thyroid, Metabolic and Neurological Function

Thyroid and metabolic disorders can influence energy, cognition, mood, weight regulation, peripheral nerve function, balance, and neurological performance. Dr. Albright evaluates these concerns within a broader neurological and functional context while coordinating with other healthcare professionals when medical diagnosis, medication management, or specialty treatment is required.

A Collaborative, Neurological Approach

Symptoms such as fatigue, cognitive difficulty, mood changes, and peripheral nerve complaints may have metabolic or thyroid contributions that are relevant to neurological and functional assessment.

Additional laboratory testing may be considered when the history, symptoms, existing results, and clinical findings justify further investigation. Testing is individualized rather than automatically ordered for every patient.

Medication prescribing and adjustment remain under the direction of an appropriately licensed prescribing professional. Dr. Albright works collaboratively with the patient's other healthcare providers.
